In the book, "The Cure is in the Cupboard: How to Use Oregano for Better Health" by Dr. Cass Ingram, it states that oregano oil has been tested against a variety of microorganisms and is found to exert a high degree of anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, anti-viral and antibacterial actions. Oregano is perhaps the most powerful herbal anti-fungal agent known. Its effectiveness is enhanced by its safety, since it is non-toxic.
